year, provided they have tutored a full course or given office support
for one term in the previous twelve months, and provided there is space
available in a class. There is also provision for the Tutor Coordinator
to place a tutor in a course to upgrade his/her skills without fee.
Club Course Certificate
There is a standard Club course certificate, which is on all course floppy
disks. This certificate is to be used as the official "Completion
of Course" certificate.
Course Manuals
Course manuals may be issued solely to members attending that course.
Manuals are normally issued on the first day of the course, unless a member
is unable, for any reason, to attend the first day of the course. In this
case the manual may be issued prior to the course starting.
Manuals may not be sold or given to members not attending the course to
which the manual refers. However, members who have attended a course,
may purchase an updated version of that manual at the current cost.
Manuals may not be sold or given to non-members.
The Committee may at its discretion, make manuals written by Club members
available to other SeniorNet clubs. The Committee may make a charge for
these manuals.
Expenses Reimbursement
A. Use of Own Vehicle - With the prior approval of the Committee
an allowance may be paid to a Club Member who uses a vehicle on Club affairs.
Such allowance (at present at 30c per Kilometre) shall generally be for
a specific journey or journeys i.e. use for normal Club activities will
not attract reimbursement. An appropriate Claim form is available from
the Office (or Treasurer).
B. Consumables – From time to time Club members will be involved
in authorised production of course material, newsletters, manuals etc,
and in doing so use their own printer, ink and papers. Whilst not able
to monitor use of these items the Club recognises that there is an ongoing
expense incurred by the member. Any claims for such reimbursement should
be made in writing and referred to the Committee for approval.
C. Car Parking - Tutors and others involved in Club activities incur
car parking costs on a regular basis. By providing necessary receipts,
where possible, on a monthly basis members may receive reimbursement from
the Treasurer. Each receipt needs to indicate the purpose for which the
car parking was used.
D. Other Club Expenses – Club Members are not expected to carry
expenses that correctly belong to the Club. Accordingly submissions are
to be made to the Committee for any other expenses not included in these
Rules. The expenses will then be refunded on provision of a suitable receipt
or Invoice.
